The City of Arcola will construct a 4,560 lineal foot dedicated truck route in support of the Libman Company’s commitment to expand its operation within the City. The $3,082,161 project will be funded by a $275,000 DCEO Community Development Assistance Program Grant, $250,000 from the Libman Company, $1,791,731 in IDOT funds, $625,000 in City RLF funds, and $140,430 in City TIF funds. At the time of the grant application, the Libman Company employed 474 persons at the Arcola location. As a result of this project the Company will hire a minimum of 61 additional full-time employees. Construction is slated to begin in early 2018 and will be completed in 2019.
