Fayette Water Company began in 1991 and currently supplies over 1,600 customers in St. Elmo, Brownstown, Beecher City, and St. Peter with potable water.  Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC began working for Fayette Water in 2010 and has assisted with permitting, acquiring easements, applying for grants and loans and all of the engineering and surveying for the company.

Fayette Water Company recently completed Phase 10 at a project cost of $522,000.  The funding for the project consisted of Rural Development Funds and completed system improvements and served twenty residences throughout Fayette County. 

Fayette Water Company is starting construction on Phase 8 which will serve 150 residents in Sharon, Shafter, and Bear Grove Townships in Fayette County.  The funding for the project consists of $1,350,000 in DCEO Construction Grant, $85,000 in DCEO Design Grant, $683,000 in Rural Development Grant, and $1,685,000 in Rural Development Loan Funds for a total of approximately $3.8 million.  The project should be completed by the Spring of 2017.
