The Village of Dieterich recently replaced deteriorated non-ADA sidewalks along Main Street and Virginia Street which had become a  hazard to pedestrian traffic. The new decorative ADA-compliant sidewalks feature a red stamped concrete treatment, curbs and gutters, and decorative lighting. Not only did the sidewalk replacement reduce the hazards to pedestrian traffic, it enhanced the beauty of the downtown business district.

The Village utilized Illinois Department of Transportation ITEP Grant funds, and Village funds to complete the project. Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC provided Design Engineering, Grant Assistance, and Construction Inspection for the project.
