Lagoon
The sewage treatment system at Watson, IL, consisted of a three-cell lagoon system that was overloaded. The project consisted of doubling the capacity on the existing site. Milano & Grunloh provided planning services, design services, and construction engineering services to increase the capacity by adding aeration with floating aerators and removing the submerged sand filter, and installing rip rap around the lagoons, new piping, and a rock filter. Milano & Grunloh also provided financial planning to utilize Illinois Environmental Protection Agency revolving loan funds for this project.
